NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Board of Commissioners (the \u201cBoard<\/em>\u201d) of the Town of Holden Beach, North Carolina (the \u201cTown\u201d<\/em>) is considering entering into an installment financing contract (the \u201cContract\u201d<\/em>), in a principal amount not to exceed $5,000,000, under which the Town will make certain installment payments, to finance the upfit of the Town\u2019s Sewer Lift Station #2 for the Town\u2019s utilities systems (the \u201cProject<\/em>\u201d), and (b) pay the costs associated with entering into the Contract. The Project is located at 484 Ocean Boulevard West, Holden Beach, NC 28462.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In connection with the Contract, the Town will secure its obligations under the Contract by a deed of trust (the \u201cDeed of Trust<\/em>\u201d) that grants a security interest on the site of the Project and the improvements thereon (the \u201cMortgaged Property<\/em>\u201d) for the benefit of the financial institution providing the funds to the Town under the Contract. The Contract and the Deed of Trust permit the Town to enter into amendments to finance additional projects and refinance projects using the Mortgaged Property as collateral and the Town may grant additional collateral in connection with such amendments. On the Town\u2019s payment of all installment payments due under the Contract, including any future amendments to finance or refinance projects, the lien created in the Project will terminate and any security interest granted to the financial institution providing the funds to the Town under the Contract will be released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \ufeff<\/p>\n\n\n\n NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, <\/em>pursuant to Sections 160A-20 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, that on September 19, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, at the Town Hall Public Assembly, 110 Rothschild Street, Holden Beach, NC 28462, the Board will conduct a public hearing concerning the approval of the execution and delivery of the Contract as described above. All interested parties are invited to present comments at the public hearing on the Contract. Any person wishing to comment in writing should do so by submitting comments to Town Hall, 110 Rothschild Street, Holden Beach, NC 28462, Attention: Town Clerk, or heather@hbtownhall.com<\/a>.
