The Town of Holden Beach will hold its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon\u00a0on Thursday, October 19th<\/sup>\u00a0at noon.\u00a0Town board and committee members<\/strong>\u00a0are invited to attend and bring a guest. The last day to register is October 2, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Run HB will be held Saturday, October 7th with the 5K\u00a0beginning at 6:45 a.m.\u00a0and the half marathon\u00a0beginning at 7:30 a.m.\u00a0There will be a delay on the bridge at the start of the half marathon and traffic down to one lane with a pilot car on the boulevard for the duration of the event. Residents, visitors, and property management company staff should plan accordingly for delays that day in reaching your destinations. Current count is over 800 participants registered. Anyone interested in participating should contact Coastal Race Productions to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fall prevention workshop previously scheduled for September 20th<\/sup>\u00a0has been moved to\u00a0October 26th<\/sup>\u00a0to allow more participation. Residents, property owners and businesses may pre-register by October 13th<\/sup>\u00a0to decorate your trunk and pass out candy.\u00a0Trunks must be ready by\u00a05:30 p.m.\u00a0There will be a prize for best decorated trunk and a costume contest held\u00a0at 7:00 p.m.\u00a0Categories include 3 and under, 4-7, 8-11, 12-15 and adult.
