The Town of Holden Beach is declaring a State of Emergency effective August 30, 2023 at 12:00 p.m.
The following restrictions will be in place beginning at 12:00 p.m.
- Voluntary evacuation of the Town of Holden Beach, effective at 12:00 p.m. on August 30, 2023.
- Bridge – The Holden Beach Bridge will be closed to traffic should sustained wind speeds reach 45 MPH or greater. The bridge would be reopened when conditions subside and passage is deemed safe by the Chief of Police.
- Decals – No decals will be issued during a declared state of emergency.
