This is the current status of Holden Beach following Idalia:
- All utilities and services are back to normal.
- The beach strand is in great shape.
- There were some canal streets that flooded.
- The Town Hall is open. Storm season is not over. If you do not have your vehicle decals, please make sure to get them now.
- Garbage pickup is delayed. GFL will not be able to complete their normal routes due to Idalia and will be moving those routes to Saturday. As a result, trash and recycling will not be picked up Saturday at Holden Beach. The next scheduled date for Holden Beach is Tuesday. GFL will pick up any extra bagged trash placed next to the carts.
- Overall the island is in good condition.
- Expect a wonderful weekend here at Holden Beach.
