Good morning! The weatherman is predicting a severe wind and rain event for Holden Beach beginning late today through Sunday. Winds may reach 40 – 50 MPH +/-, along with four inches +/- of rain. Tides may be two feet +/- above normal. Stay alert for possible street flooding.
Please consider securing porch furniture, trash cans, etc. Boats should be checked and possibly mooring lines added. Boat lifts may need to be raised more than normal. Remember the Holden Beach Bridge is subject to being closed if winds become sustained at 45 MPH or more.
This system should be gone by Monday morning but please pay attention for any updates the may be issued.
